Alliance Green IT

The Alliance Green IT (AGIT) is the association of professionals committed to responsible digital technology. 

Created in 2011, its mission is to: 

 - Federate Green IT players, 

- Contribute to the public debate on sustainable digital technologies, 

- Promote the development of skills in organisations, 

- Raise awareness among stakeholders and disseminate good practices. It thus contributes to giving weight to the green IT sector thanks to a representative body of the sector; as well as to help organizations (companies, communities, institutions) to take action more quickly to achieve their sustainable development objectives. 

The association organises working groups and regularly publishes content on various Green IT themes such as planned obsolescence, the eco-design of digital services, the impacts of the cloud, the energy performance of data centres and public awareness of everyday eco-gestures. It is also at the origin of the Green IT barometer. This instrument measures the level of maturity of companies in terms of responsible strategy and practices. The study report proposes to identify levers for improvement through key indicators.
