Génération Lumière acts in a so-called double space perspective. It operates in the African Great Lakes regions, primarily in the Democratic Republic of Congo and in Europe, primarily in France. In France, it organizes debates, palaver trees and conferences on environmental justice. In addition, it trains in ECSI (Education for Citizenship and International Solidarity).
In the Democratic Republic of Congo, and in particular in the city of Uvira, the members of the association, who live on site, carry out awareness-raising actions and more concrete actions such as tree planting, the manufacture of public bins and the organization of citizen waste collection days. Today, the actions carried out in this region are focused on floods and their causes.
