Ministère de la Transition Écologique

In France, the Ministry of Ecology is the administration responsible for preparing and implementing the Government's policy in the fields of sustainable development, the environment and technologies, energy transition and energy, climate, the prevention of natural and technological risks, industrial safety, transport and its infrastructure and equipment.

The Ministry in its current form was created in 2007, by the merger of the Ministry of Public Works and the Ministry of Ecology. It then took several successive names, the current one being, since 2022, "Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion".
