Pangea.org

Pangea is the Internet service provider for entities of the Pangea Association – Communication Coordinator for Cooperation. The entity and the project "Pangea" were created in 1993, with the aim of bringing the Internet and new information and communication technologies to associations, NGOs, individuals and non-profit groups that work for change, social justice, education, peace, the environment, development, cooperation, etc.  etc. 

Pangea's mission is to promote the strategic use of communication networks and information and communication technologies (ICTs) for development and social justice and to become a tool that helps meet the objectives of social collectives, organisations and social movements. As well as, to promote that organisations and social movements share information, knowledge and technical resources for the effective and strategic use of ICTs, especially the Internet, in a sustainable way and respectful of the diversity and values of local and global culture and society. Pangea is led by a Board that sets out the main lines of work of the entity. It is so much more than an internet service provider. 

Pangea works to achieve a better information society in which people and NGOs are an important part. It works in the fields of gender and development cooperation, it collaborates with environmental groups, it participates in peace education and social movements, it disseminates and support the use of free software. 

The Pangea association is currently made up of more than 600 members, including associations, collectives, federations and coordinators, cooperatives, schools, foundations and individuals. Together we form a great network where we share resources, experiences, work, knowledge... to make the Internet an open and freely accessible space that contributes to creating a better and fairer world. Belonging to Pangea means sharing and contributing to this end.
