PowerShift (Association for an Ecological-Solidary Energy & World Economy, Berlin) was founded in 2010. The goal of the association is the transformation of the energy and global economy in the sense of social and ecological justice.
PowerShift is a think tank, networker and lobbyist for social-ecological change. Together with its partners in Germany, Europe and worldwide, it analyses developments in its areas of trade/investment, energy policy, mobility and raw materials. It publishes and qualifies, forges networks and alliances and influence political decision-making processes.
It turns to political decision-makers so that they create framework conditions that promote sustainable development and to interested civil society so that there is sufficient pressure for change. Regarding digital tools, several publications and studies conducted by PowerShift deal with energy consumption and the extraction of natural resources.
