StopMicro

A grassroots collective fighting against resource exploitation and environmental damage caused by local industries, particularly in microelectronics (such as Soitec and STMicroelectronics). Our organization emerged from the need to refocus public debate on the environmental impact of industry and digital technology.

Our Mission:

- Expose the political decisions, corporate interests, and economic factors behind climate disruption and socio-environmental injustices

- Challenge the "European Green Capital" narrative by highlighting the presence of energy-intensive and polluting industries (including 19 Seveso-classified plants)

- Raise awareness about Europe's largest nanotechnology hub and its significant environmental and societal impacts We aim to demonstrate that behind climate change and socio-environmental injustices lie specific political decisions, corporate actions, and economic interests that shape our societal choices.

Our work particularly focuses on exposing how the supposed "European Green Capital" harbors highly energy-intensive and polluting industries, including Europe's primary nanotechnology center - a sector that poses significant environmental and societal challenges through its extreme energy consumption.
